Community Center, 1724 20th St., NW.

This is the building which the Rainbow History Project website describes as Washington's first gay community center. The building is located at 1724 20th St., NW, in Washington, DC, not far from Dupont Circle. These photographs were taken by me in 1974. They show Deacon Maccubbin's "Earthworks" on the first floor to the right of the entrance. (See the signage on the windows.)
