Oral History with David Jolliffe

Abstract

David talked about his experience living in Dupont Circle in the starting in the late 90s, and how the area has changed in his time living here. He also talked about how the gay nightlife scene in DC has changed over the years. David then talked about his experience adopting a child as a gay couple. He was one of the first gay couples in his community to adopt and had a complicated experience navigating parenting in DC as a gay couple. David also talked about his experience living in Chicago in the 80s, and the personal struggles he went through during the HIV/AIDS epidemic. David then talked about his time working as a pharmacist serving HIV/AIDS patients in clinics for the past 20 years.
