Oral history interview with Patsy Lynch

Abstract

Patsy Lynch shares her life story as a photojournalist living and working in DC during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. She covered movements from discovering when she was gay, photographing the 1979 March on Washington, working in clinics during the AIDS epidemic, and photographing the World AIDS Conference. She claims to be the first openly gay journalist to report from the White House. Lynch speaks about her experiences meeting some of the biggest names in Gay/Lesbian activism, and how she rose up in a male-dominated field.
