Abstract
As an active member in the Jewish Gay and Lesbian community, Barret Brick made strides to establish and active and useful community in Washington D.C. Through the Washington Jewish Community Center, Brick helped establish many programs that became accessible for the Jewish Gay and Lesbian community, especially through recuiting Rabbis and other congregation leaders. Brick discusses the specifics of navigating the Washington Jewish community, whether through religion or politics, and his specific contributions to the greater Washington LGBTQ environment.
