The Newsletter of the Gertrude Stein Democratic Club, Washington Metropolitan Area, volume 2, number 9

Description

On September 14, the Democratic Primary brought six of the seven candidates endorsed by the club (Gertrude Stein Democratic Club) won. There was a great influence from the club within the gay and lesbian communities. The club's support for these candidates took many different forms but with a large increase in direct contributions. Tom Easley then became president of the Stein club. He is a professor and serves on various boards. The club provided assistance to campaigns that aligned with their similar values. The club was then publicized and more awareness was brought to the club for the gay and lesbian communities and hopes for a decease in discrimination.
