The Voice Empowered

Description

The GLBT choral movement has empowered individuals to come forth about their identities in a safe and welcoming environment. This documents purpose is to portray the origins, purpose, and history of the GLBT choral movement, including history from both the Gay and Lesbian Association (GALA) and the Lesbian and Gay Chorus of Washington D.C. (LGCW). The importance of this movement is its convergence of music and politics, but common purpose of making music while amplifying the voices of those who may not be heard.
