Collected since the founding of the RHP, this collection is growing and is open to researchers. All interviews have been digitized and are described in the catalog; only some of them have transcripts available. None of the interviews stream online. Kolb, a businessman now living in Florida, recounts his life in DC, his volunteer work with the Gay Hotline, and his work with the Potomac Executive Network, later to become the Capital Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Joe Kolb was born and raised in Washington, DC. After college, he worked for design firms, while helping start in 1976 the Gay Hotline, a telephone support network linking area gay men to social, health, and community resources. He became involved with the Potomac Executive Network (PEN), a social group for gay and lesbian businesspeople, and saw the organization grow into the Capital Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CAGLCC).
