Each interview in this collection has a narrator telling the story and a documenter guiding the process. Collected since the founding of the RHP, this collection is growing and is open to researchers. All interviews have been digitized and are described in the catalog; only some of them have transcripts available. None of the interviews stream online. Donald Burch III is an African American from Detroit. Donald tested positive for HIV in 1985. His disease seems to have very little to no effect on the influentiality he wishes his life to have, as he continues to strive for prosperous opportunities beyond his home in Detroit. Upon his relief of his military duties due to the awareness of his disease, he unsurprisingly makes way to Washington DC. Faith Temple becomes a common place of reference for Donald, for it had been the place he claims to be his place of worship and shelter when he was most unfortunate. Donald also discusses things such as where he went for fun, how he made friends and the places they went, his love life, and what he did to give back to the community.
